British GT – Ginetta GT5 Challenge – Oulton Park Gallery

2007bc Photography visited Oulton Park this weekend to support Stuart Pearson Racing in his first race of the season in his stunning new Ginetta G40.

Friday saw a mainly dry day of practice, with all the Ginetta’s out on the track, making the best of the dry weather.

Qualifying on the Saturday morning on a damp track made tyre choices difficult, but after starting in 15th on the grid in Race 1 Stuart finished in 6th place.

Race 2 was unfortunately started from the pit lane and saw some blistering lap times as he clawed his way through the field.

Race 3 was much of the same, with Stuart working his way through the grid, until contact with Rick Parfitt Jr saw the G40 well and truly beached in the gravel at Druids – MotorsTV had a camera setup at this corner though, so it will make for great TV coverage for his sponsors..

Alongside the GT5 Challenge is the British GT featuring some of the most stunning supercar racers you could ever want to see.

Mallory Park Test Day Gallery

Dave went along to Mallory Park today with Stuart Pearson, of Stuart Pearson Racing to photography his first test session of the season. Those readers that keep up with Stuarts’ blog will know that this session was his first time behind the wheel of his Ginetta G40 race car.

With an exceptionally quiet track, Stuart really got to grips with the new car. The feedback from Stuart couldn’t have been better, and he is now thoroughly looking forward to the media day at Silverstone on Monday 5th March 2012.

Stuart Pearson Racing – Ginetta G40 Car Portraiture

As the more frequent visitors to our website will know, one half of 2007bc Photography has a un-healthy interest in all things motorsport and automotive related.

Last year saw 2007bc Photography become one of the sponsors of Stuart Pearson Racing, who competes in the Ginetta Challenge. Last year, Stuart Pearson raced in a Ginetta G20 in the Ginetta Challenge championship, and scored enough points to take the overall Championship Title at the final race in Silverstone Race Track, Northamptonshire.

Stuart’s prize for such an achievement, is the loan of a Ginetta G40, with which he can compete, in this years Ginetta Challenge, but in the G40 class. As with most things mechanical, if you buy, or inherit a car that you intend on going fast in, it’s always worth taking it to bits and putting it back together again – so that you have confidence in the machines you’re driving.

Dave saw this as an oppotunity to visit the SPR garage, and take a few snaps of the new Ginetta G40 while it was in pieces.
